BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe starts at 79,500 EUR

BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe

The German based automaker BMW is planning to offer its newest model, the 6-Series Gran Coupe, at a starting price of 79,500 EUR.

According to our colleagues at bimmertoday.de, the new BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe will have a starting price of 79.500 EUR in Germany. Even if the carmaker didn’t say anything about the cost of the new BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe, the journalists at bimmertoday.de seem to be pretty sure that the model will start at the above mentioned price, which will actually be 4,800 EUR more compared to the 6-Series Coupe, equipped with the same engine.

Our source is also telling us that for 79,500 EUR the BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe will come with the 3.0 liter inline six-cylinder engine which will be developing a total output of 315 horsepower. Even if this might seem like a good deal, it actually isn’t compared to its competition, where the Audi A7 Sportback is starting as low as 48,900 EUR for the 2.8 liter FSI unit with front-wheel drive, while the similar A7 with the 3.0 liter TFSI engine (296 horsepower) is starting at 58,600 EUR. The same situation is for the Mercedes-Benz CLS where the 250 CDI is starting at 59,857 EUR (302 HP).

The new BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe will also be launched in Germany too, where the model seems to follow the new 3-Series, and hit the dealerships in late summer with only three models, the BMW 64i, the 650i and the 650i xDrive.
