Porsche Cajun in Audi Q5's Clothes |
Utilising the platform of the Audi Q5, the Porsche Cajun will share the Audi's powertrains and driveline.
To differentiate it from the Q5 though, the Cajun will wear its own unique bodywork, ride on Porsche-tuned suspension and feature a completely new - and distinctively 'Porsche' interior.
Although its external appearance remains a closely-guarded secret, this Q5-bodied prototype spotted in Northern Europe shows that the Cajun will share its wheelbase with the Audi yet sport a slightly wider track width.
Bigger wheels and beefier brakes will also set the Cajun apart from the Q5, and rumour has it that a three-door bodystyle - and potentially a hybrid - is in the works too.
We may even expect more adventurous styling than the rest of the Porsche range, with Volkswagen design chief Walter de Silva saying that the Cajun will be the first model to be designed entirely under his supervision, and that he hopes to "add something positive to Porsche's new models".
It'll be a while before we see the Cajun in production guise though. The Cajun is presently slated for a 2014 global debut.
