The Japanese based automaker Mitsubishi has officially announced that the 2012 model year of the ASX crossover will go to the United Kingdom this month.
According to the car manufacturer, the first unit of the 2012 Mitsubishi ASX will arrive in the UK this week. The new generation of the Japanese crossover is coming with high level of protection, starting with the “classic” ABS and going through the ASC (Active Stability Control), TC (Traction Control), EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), BA (Brake Assist), ESSS (Emergency Stop Signal System and seven airbags as standard. The model is also coming with the RISE safety technology which is deflecting the crash energy away from the safety cell.
The 2012 Mitsubishi ASX can be ordered with the 1.9 liter DiD engine, which is developing a total output of 116 PS and it achieves 54.3 mpg (UK) compared to 51 mpg of the current model, while emitting just 136 g/km of CO2. The new generation of the Mitsubishi ASX will also come with the 1.6 liter petrol unit, which is returning an average of 47.1 mpg, compared to the current 47.9 mpg, and its CO2 emissions are remaining at 139 g/km. The 2012 ASX will arrive in the UK this week.
