Audi RS4 Avant is coming later this year

Audi

The German based automaker is planning to launch the Avant version of the RS4 later this year.

Even if there aren’t any official details on the new generation of the Audi RS4 Avant, the model is expected to be launched later this year. According to the guys over at autoblog.nl, the new Audi RS4 Avant will be launched in the third quarter of 2012, but what comes in as a surprise, is that the RS4 Sedan might not make it into production. This fact is being sustained by the numerous spy photos which ended up on the internet which are only showing the station wagon version of the RS4. The Audi RS4 Sedan will most likely be replaced by the RS5.

Rumors say that the new generation of the Audi RS4 Avant is most likely to be powered by a 4.2 liter V8 engine, which might develop a total output of 444 horsepower and have a peak torque of 317 lb-ft, but, just as with the details above, there aren’t any official details on this either. The new generation of the Audi RS4 Avant might be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March, before the model will hit the dealerships.
