Lincoln MKZ teased ahead of Detroit debut

Lincoln MKZ

Ford’s Lincoln brand has recently teased the new MKZ model, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.

The North American based automaker Ford and its Lincoln brand have chosen to tease its MKZ model, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, in Detroit, after announcing not too long ago that the vehicle will be launched at the automotive event. The car manufacturer has decided to release a single image of the Lincoln MKZ, which is meant to keep us in the shadows and focus all the attention on the model, even if we still don’t have a clue about how it will look like.

Lincoln says that the 2013 MKZ will be developed on a new platform which will also underpin the next Ford Fusion and its European counterpart, the Mondeo, and the new generation of the Lincoln MKZ will continue to use a front-wheel drive platform, but its future customers will also be able to order the optional all-wheel drive system. Even if there’s no official word on this yet, the new Lincoln MKZ might also get a hybrid version, which will be offered to supplement a range of V6 and turbocharged four-cylinder engines.
