Lexus LF-LC Concept Unveiled ahead of Detroit

Lexus LF-FC Concept

Leaked images online have provided an early look at the Lexus concept car that will be unveiled next week at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show.

Now we have a new set of pics showing the Lexus LF-LC vehicle – a concept that is supposed to show the next evolution of Lexus’ design language.

The company says the 2+2 coupe concept “blends both high technology and organic shapes to connect the driver to the machine,” and promises that the “futuristic sport coupe” previews future Lexus design trends.

As expected, the vehicle sports a similar face to the LF-Gh concept from the New York motor show. There are also several nods to the Lexus LFA supercar in its design, particularly at the rear and in the sculpting of the front bumper.

Autocar reports that the production car would use a shortened version of the next-generation LS’s platform, which is due to go into production in 2014.

A glass roof provides a spacious feeling with 21-inch alloys adding to the sports feel. Further details will be announced at the show, which runs January 9-22.
