Porsche Carrera Cabriolets

The German based automaker Porsche has officially launched three of its models, the Carrera Cabriolet, the Carrera S Cabriolet and the Panamera GTS at the 2012 Detroit Motor Show.

After Porsche has officially announced just a month ago that its drop-tops Carrera Cabriolet and Carrera S Cabriolet will be launched in the United States too, at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the day when the models have been present to its American audience has finally come, and besides the two convertibles, Porsche has also presented the Panamera GTS too, during the same automotive event.

As a reminder, the Porsche Carrera Cabriolet is powered by a 3.4 liter flat-six engine, which is developing a total output of 350 horsepower, while the Carrera S Cabriolet is equipped with a 3.8 liter flat-six engine, generating 400 HP. Both engines are sending power to the rear wheels through a standard seven-speed manual transmission, with a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK available as an option. The 0 to 100 km/h is being done in 5.0 and 4.7 seconds in the Carrera Cabrio and the Carrera Cabrio S, and the model will hit the German showrooms in March, 2012, where the first one will be priced at 100,532 EUR while the Carrera S will cost 114,931 EUR.

Porsche Panamera GTS
Last but not least, the Panamera GTS is powered by a 4.8 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, which is developing 430 horsepower at 6,700 rpm, 30 horsepower more than the Panamera S/4S. The peak torque has also increased from 369 to 384 lb-ft and the 0 to 60 mph sprint time takes 4.3 seconds. The top speed of the model is 178 mph.
